Monday & Wednesday: 9:30 am.- Wisdom Yoga - Chair & Mat:  for those who have been experiencing gravity a bit longer than others:  
While safety is a priority, you'll still enjoy a nice challenge and get outside your comfort zone. That's how you'll grow, feel great and feel unstoppable.  There are different ways to do each pose, and you'll find what works best for you. Friday: 9:30 am. In-Studio - Wise & Strong   This is a 4-class series within 5 weeks.

In Studio - Evening Classes

 Our 5:30 p.m. yoga classes offer a calming retreat from the day's hustle and bustle, inviting participants to unwind and rejuvenate their minds and bodies as the evening unfolds. The dimmed lights and tranquil ambiance create a soothing atmosphere, perfect for letting go and focusing within.

Monday Evening 5:30 pm. Yoga Fusion  If you want to add a bit of a challenge try adding weights combined with some yoga and Pilates. You'll be surprised on how quick you get stronger.  Sign up if you want to accept this challenge!  Book your class

Tuesday Evening 5:30 pm.  Slow & Steady   Perfect for beginners and anyone who wants movement at a slower pace! 
Taking it slow and steady, we flow through slow movements and dynamic stretching, integrating breath to improve posture, balance, core strength, and range of motion. Often our bodies need to slow down, and build nervous system resilience.   click here to join us

Sometimes we need slow and steadiness, and other times our bodies crave energizing movement. this class gives you wha you need. There are so many options for your to decide the level of your challenge- you find your personal edge and create the space you need to go within. Go With the Flow

Friday Evening 5:30 pm.   Friday Evening Zen  Flow  All-Levels  
For beginners and established practitioners. This evening class respects your end-of-the-week energy. These Vinyasa classes emphasize awakening your instinctual urge to move your body in rhythm and harmony with your breath to feel awakened and at the same time the introspective depth of longer pose holds, creates a space for exploration and presence.  You'll build stamina, strength, and mobility while reducing the stress accumulated during the week.   If you want to feel energized and revitalized sign up! In our classes, we use Tibetan singing bowls and Crystal Chakra bowls to restore balance and harmony in your body, mind, and soul. We are innovative and combine low-impact isometric moves, flows with breath, periods of complete awareness of muscle movement, and mind-focusing breathwork for relaxation, stress reduction, and improving your sleep.

Sarah Wallace

Sarah Wallace is the owner of Amenia Yoga – a Place for Wellness and is the primary teacher. She is RYT 500 certified with Yoga Alliance with additional certifications in Accessible Yoga, Yoga for Osteoporosis, Senior Yoga, and Chair Yoga. She first heard about yoga in 1970 when her mother bought Richard Hittleman's 28-day yoga book that recently came out. She dabbled in yoga, here and there but started practicing consistently in 1992 during her first pregnancy. For the last seven of her 28 years in Italy Sarah and her husband lived on a biodynamic vineyard and had a large farm tourism business that included a B&B. She led fitness sessions for guests and organized yoga retreats for teachers and practitioners from around the world. Amenia Yoga opened in July 2021 with classes for everybody and every level.      



 

Heather Hussey 

 Meet Heather! She was born on the full moon and loves the great outdoors!! She spent all her childhood summers on Lake George and in the Adirondack Mountains! She loves nature and being outdoors.  If there's a mountain nearby, Healther will be hiking it for sure!  
She became interested in yoga at a young age and has been practicing ever since. Besides yoga, she loves her SUP (stand up paddle board) and on summer days you might find her supping around our nearby lakes and ponds. If you see someone on a SUP doing a headstand, it's Heather! She loves yoga and her SUP so much that she became a certified yoga SUP teachers well!  This summer we have plans for SUP yoga  classes!  
You can find her in the studio on Friday evenings teaching vinyasa classes.  





Caroline Robins

Caroline is a Maryland native who currently resides in Dutchess county. Outside of yoga, she loves getting local coffee with her husband Jared and going on daily walks with her cattle mix puppy, Greta.
At Amenia Yoga she specializes in the gentle side of yoga, and guides people in our Candlelight Gentle Unwind class on Thursdays at 5:30 pm. (temporarily suspended)  Caroline graduated in 2015 from her interdisciplinary yoga teacher training focused on self-awakening yoga/vinyasa.
She proudly holds certifications in Trauma-Informed Yoga & Trauma Sensitive Restorative Yoga.  She's also certified in Accessible Yoga,  Personal Training (2014), Classic & Cardio Barre, and Restorative Yoga.   Continuing Education: Mind Body Specialist, Senior Fitness,  Functional Fitness,   Reiki 1 Certification
